Ingredients for 24 servings:

  • 2 cups flour
  • ¾ tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 ½ cup(s) brown sugar
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 ½ cup(s) desiccated coconut, sweetened
  • 1 cup dark chocolate chips
  • 1 cup almond(s), coarsely chopped

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 40 minutes; Total time approx. 55 minutes

Combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Cream the butter until creamy, add the sugar, and beat for another 3 minutes. Gradually add the eggs. Add the vanilla extract and fold into the flour mixture. Carefully add the chocolate chips, almonds, and desiccated coconut and mix well. Pour the mixture into a greased, shallow pan and smooth it down. Bake at 170°C for about 40 minutes. Cut into pieces and serve. Note: 1 cup = 230 ml
