Almond Rice Pudding

Ingredients
 

  • 250 gr Short grain rice
  • 150 gr Sugar
  • 1 l Milk 3.5% fat
  • 1 pack Dr Oetker pudding to mix with almond flavor
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 150 ml Water
  • Cinnamon to sprinkle

Instructions
 

  • Put the water with a pinch of salt in a saucepan and bring to the boil. Add the rice and cook until the water is completely absorbed.
  • Add 2,500 ml of milk. Bring the milk to the boil at the highest level and then turn it all the way down and let the rice cook while stirring constantly.
  • I always do it when I cook the rice pudding, I always let it boil hot on the highest level, then turn it down and then give it full heat again ... This continues until the rice is cooked through. Please keep stirring !!! The rice should be done in about 30 minutes. When the rice pudding is cooked through, add the sugar and stir well and remove the pot from the hob.
  • Now mix the pudding powder with 2 tablespoons of sugar and 6 tablespoons of milk from the remaining 500 ml of milk. Put the pot back on the hob and heat it on the highest level. Add the rest of the milk to the rice pudding and bring to the boil. Now add the pudding mixture and bring everything to the boil again until everything has combined nicely.
  • Done! Serve with cinnamon and a few fresh apple slices and enjoy warm or cold 🙂
