American Artichoke Casserole

The perfect american artichoke casserole recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 5 Italian artichokes
  • Mayonnaise
  • Cream
  1. Prepare small Italian artichokes: cut off the stems and peel them with the asparagus peeler. Break off the outermost leaves, approx. 2-4 rows, cut off the tip of the flower. Place in lemon water.
  2. 2nd topping for the casserole: make mayonnaise yourself. In this recipe I use the 2 eggs whole. Stir very long so that it becomes frothy. 1dl cream, approx. 4dl mayonnaise, season with lemon juice, pepper, green Tabasco, some turmeric and cardamom to aid digestion, possibly some nutmeg.
  3. Cut the artichokes into thin slices 2-3mm (with the large knife) and place in oven molds. Pour the icing over it so that the vegetables are completely covered. Bake for 25 minutes in a preheated oven at 180 ° C. Not for the diet kitchen.
