vegan filled dumplings for the toaster
First of all, for those unfamiliar with them: Pop Tarts are sweet filled sandwiches that you put in the toaster. Mix the dough ingredients and knead thoroughly, adding a little water if necessary, then chill for 30 minutes. Roll out the dough as thinly as possible (about as thin as a crepe) and cut into rectangles about the size of toast. Spread 1/2 teaspoon of peanut butter and/or jam on half of the rectangles. Then place a dough rectangle on top and press the edges together. Brush with a little almond milk and then place the rectangles on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees Celsius (350 degrees Fahrenheit) for about 15 minutes. If you like, you can also cover them with powdered sugar frosting. Alternative fillings include nougat cream, cinnamon-sugar mix, syrup/honey, crumble, applesauce, or grated chocolate.
