Mie noodles with minced meat

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 small piece(s) of ginger root
  • 1 bunch of spring onions
  • 200 g mie noodles
  • 200 g minced meat (pork or beef or mixed)
  • 2 tbsp sambal oelek
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce, light
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce, dark
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 500 ml chicken broth
  • some cornstarch

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

Asian, quick and easy, delicious

Peel the garlic and chop or grate it finely. Peel the ginger and cut it into small pieces. Slice the spring onions into rings. Place the mie noodles in a pot, add a little salt, pour boiling water over them, and let them simmer. Fry the minced meat with the ginger and garlic in a little oil until crumbly. Add the white part of the spring onions. Add the sambal oelek, light and dark soy sauce, and the sugar; mix everything well. Drain the mie noodles, add them, and mix everything well. Add the chicken stock and let everything simmer for about 5 minutes. Mix a little cornstarch with water and add it to thicken slightly. Add the green part of the spring onions, and the dish is ready.
