Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 2 jars of anchovy fillet(s) in oil (net weight approx. 40g each)
  • 1 clove(s) garlic
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • ½ tbsp vinegar (red wine vinegar)
  • 1 tbsp tomato paste
  • 6 leaves of basil, fresh

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

Anchovy paste with ciabatta

Rinse the anchovies briefly to reduce their saltiness. Blend the anchovies with chopped garlic, olive oil, vinegar, and tomato paste until a paste forms. Finely slice the basil and fold it into the anchovy. Serve with ciabatta bread.
