Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 2 lettuce hearts
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • salt and pepper
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 tbsp balsamic vinegar, 20 years old
  • 4 cocktail tomatoes

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Finely grate 2 garlic cloves. Add olive oil to the pan and sauté the garlic until golden brown. Then remove and drain on kitchen paper. Cut the lettuce hearts lengthwise. Clean under running water. Add the hearts cut-side down to the garlic oil and fry. Turn once and fry the other side. Arrange the lettuce hearts cut-side up on a plate. Season with salt and pepper. Drizzle with approximately 1-2 tablespoons of olive oil and 2-3 tablespoons of balsamic vinegar. Cut the tomatoes into small pieces and arrange them on top. Finally, scatter the garlic chips on top.
