Anise cookies

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 3 m.-sized eggs
  • 250 g icing sugar, sifted
  • 250 g flour, sifted
  • ½ tsp, leveled baking powder
  • 1 tsp, heaped anise powder
  • Butter, for the baking tray
  • Flour, for the baking sheet

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest time approx. 12 hours; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 12 hours 40 minutes

It is very important not to use baking paper, but to grease the baking sheets with butter and sift flour over them. Tap off any remaining flour from the baking sheet. This amount of cookies is enough for 3 baking sheets. Mix the eggs, aniseed and powdered sugar in a food processor on high for 1 minute. Add the flour and baking powder and mix on high for another 3 minutes. Now use a piping bag to place small dots onto the baking sheet. On a normal-sized baking sheet, you can place 7 across and 7 lengthwise, making 49 cookies. Leave to dry at room temperature for 12 hours, or better yet, overnight. They will then be really hard and dry. Preheat the oven to 160°C and bake the cookies for 18-20 minutes. Once the baking sheet has cooled, the cookies will easily come off the baking sheet.
