Anni’s Malakoff Cake

The perfect anni’s malakoff cake recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 3 P Ladyfingers
  • 1 P Custard powder
  • 50 g Sugar
  • 0,5 L Milk
  • 0,25 L Coffee
  • 1 shot Rum
  • 150 g Margarine
  • 100 g Icing sugar
  • 250 g Whipped cream
  • 1 P Vanilla sugar
  1. Cook the vanilla pudding according to the instructions on the packet and allow to cool. Stir the margarine and icing sugar until frothy and add the pudding, tablespoon at a time.
  2. Mix the coffee and rum. Place a springform pan or a forming ring on a cake plate. Soak the sponge fingers in the coffee and place in the dish. Brush with 1/3 of the cream. Repeat two more times and finish with ladyfingers. Cover with cling film and refrigerate overnight.
  3. Whip the whipped cream and pour in the vanilla sugar. Remove the cake from the mold and brush all over with whipped cream. Decorate with cream tuffs and chocolate flakes.
