Anni’s Malakoff Cake
The perfect anni’s malakoff cake recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 3 P Ladyfingers
- 1 P Custard powder
- 50 g Sugar
- 0,5 L Milk
- 0,25 L Coffee
- 1 shot Rum
- 150 g Margarine
- 100 g Icing sugar
- 250 g Whipped cream
- 1 P Vanilla sugar
- Cook the vanilla pudding according to the instructions on the packet and allow to cool. Stir the margarine and icing sugar until frothy and add the pudding, tablespoon at a time.
- Mix the coffee and rum. Place a springform pan or a forming ring on a cake plate. Soak the sponge fingers in the coffee and place in the dish. Brush with 1/3 of the cream. Repeat two more times and finish with ladyfingers. Cover with cling film and refrigerate overnight.
- Whip the whipped cream and pour in the vanilla sugar. Remove the cake from the mold and brush all over with whipped cream. Decorate with cream tuffs and chocolate flakes.
