Antonia's Savoy cabbage stew

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 onion(s), diced
  • 500 g minced meat, mixed
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 kg savoy cabbage, cut into strips
  • 1 kg potatoes, peeled and diced
  • 200 ml vegetable stock
  • ½ tsp caraway seeds, ground
  • 100 ml cream
  • 100 g cheese, grated, can be a little more

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Fry the minced meat in hot oil until crumbly, add the onion and fry briefly. Season with salt and pepper. Add the savoy cabbage in portions to the mince and let it wilt. Add the diced potatoes. Pour in the stock and bring to a boil. Season with salt, pepper, and caraway seeds, and cook covered for 20 minutes over medium heat. Stir in the cream and cheese, and season again to taste.
