Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 1 ½ kg apples
- 1 lemon(s)
- 1 jar cherry(s)
- 200 g butter or margarine
- 150 g sugar
- 2 drops butter-vanilla flavoring
- 1 pinch of salt
- 5 m.-sized eggs
- 375 g flour
- 1 packet of baking powder
- 3 tbsp mineral water
- 100 g almond(s) (flakes)
- 1 tbsp powdered sugar
- Grease, for the sheet
Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes
Peel and core the apples. Cut into wedges and drizzle with lemon juice. Drain the cherries in a sieve. Cream together the softened butter or margarine, sugar, vanilla extract, and salt using a hand mixer until creamy. Beat in the eggs one at a time. Mix the flour with the baking powder and fold in. Finally, stir in the mineral water. Spread the batter onto a greased baking tray (approx. 36×40 cm). Distribute the apple slices and cherries over the batter. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C (175°C fan-assisted) for 30-40 minutes. Sprinkle with almonds about 15 minutes before the end of the baking time. Dust the cooled cake with icing sugar.
