Apple and Cress Salad with Bread Chips and Trout

The perfect apple and cress salad with bread chips and trout recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 2 Medium sized apples
  • 1 Garden cress box
  • 2 tbsp Lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp Cream of horseradish
  • 150 gr Sour cream
  • 50 ml Sweet cream
  • 1 tbsp Honey
  • Salt pepper
  • Thin slices of bread
  • Smoked trout, capers, lemon zest
  1. Apples, core and roughly grate. Mix these immediately with lemon juice. Now cut the cress and mix it with both types of cream, horseradish and honey. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
  1. For the bread chips, cut thin slices of bread / rolls with a bread machine and fry them in a pan with oil over medium heat until crispy. Now for the arrangement: Arrange the salad in a starter ring, cover with a bread chip. Now place the trout pieces on top and garnish with capers and lemon zest.
