Apple and curd balls

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 250 g low-fat quark or regular quark (20%)
  • 125 ml oil, neutral
  • 100 g sugar (preferably cane sugar)
  • 300 g spelt flour type 630
  • 75 g wholemeal spelt flour
  • 1 packet of baking powder
  • 4 apples
  • n. B. cinnamon sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 55 minutes

Combine the quark, oil, and sugar, then combine the flour and baking powder and knead with the other ingredients. Dice the apples and knead them into the dough. Form them into approximately 12 balls with your hands. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake in a preheated oven at 175°C (top/bottom heat) on the middle rack for approximately 25-30 minutes. Sprinkle with cinnamon sugar while still hot or roll in it. This quantity makes 12 balls.
