Apple and Eggnog Marble Cake

The perfect apple and eggnog marble cake recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 3 piece Apples
  • 2 tbsp Rum or lemon juice to drizzle over
  • 150 g Powdered sugar
  • 1 packet Vanilla sugar
  • 4 piece Eggs
  • 150 ml Sunflower oil
  • 200 ml Advocaat
  • 100 g Food starch
  • 100 g Flour
  • 3 tsp Baking powder
  • 3 tbsp Cocoa powder
  1. Peel the apples, dice them and drizzle with rum or lemon juice. Beat the icing sugar and vanilla sugar with the eggs on the highest setting with the hand mixer for a few minutes until frothy. Stir in the oil and egg liqueur.
  2. Mix the flour, cornstarch and baking powder. Briefly stir into the batter on a low heat.
  3. Pour half of the dough into a greased and floured loaf pan. Stir the cocoa powder into the rest of the batter. Put the dark dough on top of the light dough. Spread the apples on top. Run a spiral through the dough with a fork.
  4. Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees (top / bottom heat) for about 60 minutes. Let cool in the mold for about 15 minutes, then remove from the mold and let cool down completely. Dust with powdered sugar or cover with a chocolate icing.
