Apple and pear strudel

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 250 g flour (all-purpose flour)
  • 1 egg(s)
  • some salt
  • 125 ml mineral water
  • 2 tbsp sunflower oil
  • 400 g apples
  • 400 g pear(s)
  • some butter, liquid, for the filling
  • 4 tbsp breadcrumbs
  • 4 tbsp sugar
  • 2 pinches of cinnamon powder
  • 50 g walnuts, chopped
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • some butter, liquid, for spreading
  • some oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Rest time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 45 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 40 minutes

For the strudel dough, mix the first 5 ingredients together and knead until a smooth dough forms. Brush with a little oil and let the dough rest for 30 minutes. For the filling, add the breadcrumbs and granulated sugar with cinnamon to a little melted butter and mix. Slice the apples and coarsely grate the pears. Roll out the strudel dough thinly and brush with a little melted butter. Then sprinkle the breadcrumbs, sugar, and cinnamon mixture over the dough, mix in the apples and pears, and spread on top. Roll up and brush with the mixed egg yolk and milk and sprinkle with chopped walnuts. Place on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and bake in a preheated oven at 200°C for about 45 minutes.
