Apple-Apricot Chutney

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 kg apples
  • 500 g onion(s)
  • 500 g apricot(s)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 700 g sugar
  • 700 ml vinegar (wine vinegar, 5%)
  • 1 tsp, heaped ginger powder
  • ¼ tsp chili powder or 1 tsp paprika powder, hot

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Peel the apples and onions. Wash and pit the apricots. Then finely chop everything. Place in a saucepan with the garlic cloves crushed with salt, the sugar, the wine vinegar, and all the spices. Stir while stirring until smooth, adding more seasoning if desired. Pour the chutney while still hot into prepared, hot-rinsed jars and seal tightly. The chutney can be preserved for a long time and improves the longer it stands.
