Ingredients for 24 servings:

  • 125 g margarine
  • 100 g sugar
  • ½ point flavoring (bourbon vanilla flavoring)
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 3 eggs
  • 125 g flour (wheat flour)
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 75 g almonds, sliced
  • 700 g apples
  • 150 g currants, red
  • 150 g blackberries
  • 300 g crème fraîche
  • 200 g marzipan – raw mass
  • ½ point flavoring (bourbon vanilla flavoring)
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tsp cornstarch
  • powdered sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Beat the margarine and sugar until fluffy, then gradually add the vanilla, salt, and eggs. Mix the flour and baking powder and fold in. Chop the almonds slightly and add them. Spread the batter onto a greased baking sheet. Peel, quarter, and core the apples and spread them on the batter. Bake at 170-200°C for about 20 minutes. Wash and drain the blackberries and currants, then strip the currants from the stalks. Spread the berries on the pre-baked cake. Beat the crème fraîche and marzipan with a hand mixer until smooth, then stir in the remaining ingredients. Spread the glaze on the pre-baked cake and sprinkle with almonds. Bake at the same temperature as before for about 30 minutes. Sprinkle the cooled cake with powdered sugar.
