Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 350 g butter
- 350 g powdered sugar
- 6 eggs
- 2 packets of vanilla sugar
- 2 tsp cinnamon powder
- 60 g cocoa powder
- 750 g apples
- 350 g flour
- 1 packet of baking powder
- 200 g cake icing (dark cocoa icing)
- 2 tbsp almond slivers for sprinkling
Instructions
Working time approx. 45 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 50 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 35 minutes
Cream the butter with a hand mixer until creamy, gradually adding the sifted powdered sugar. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla sugar, cinnamon, and cocoa powder. Preheat oven to 200°C (180°C fan-assisted oven). Peel, core, and coarsely grate the apples. Mix the flour and baking powder, sift, and stir into the egg mixture along with the apples. Line a baking tray with baking paper and spread the batter onto it. Bake for 40-50 minutes, then turn out onto a wire rack and let cool. Prepare the cocoa glaze according to the package instructions and spread it over the cake. Sprinkle with slivered almonds. Cut the cake into 24 equal pieces. Each piece contains approximately 315 kcal/1320 kj for 24 pieces. Tip: This cake tastes particularly good when baked the day before, allowing the flavors of the ingredients to blend together.
