Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 250 g flour
- 1 packet of baking powder
- 80 g butter
- 1 packet of vanilla sugar
- 1 pinch of salt
- 1 tbsp Cinnamon powder, more or less to taste
- 1 egg(s)
- 100 g sugar
- 100 ml buttermilk
- 50 g applesauce
- 1 apple
- brown sugar
- Cinnamon powder
- butter
Instructions

Preheat the oven to approximately 180°C (top/bottom heat). Combine the flour with the baking powder, salt, and cinnamon. At the same time, melt the butter and mix it with the sugar, vanilla sugar, egg, buttermilk, and applesauce. Add the wet ingredients to the flour mixture. Peel the apples and cut them into small pieces. Add them to the batter. Stir the batter briefly, but not too long, as otherwise the muffins won’t be as fluffy. Pour the batter into 12 muffin cups and bake for approximately 15-20 minutes. Let cool, then brush with a little melted butter and dip in a mixture of brown sugar and cinnamon.
