Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 2 large apples
- 4 ½ tsp cinnamon powder or amount to taste
- 280 g brown sugar
- 360 g flour
- 4 tsp, leveled baking powder
- 300 ml milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 220 g butter, melted
- 2 large eggs
- Fat for the mold
Instructions
Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 45 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 5 minutes
First things first: This recipe is for a 28 cm diameter cake. First, peel the apples and cut them into small wedges. In a small bowl, combine them with 30 g of sugar and 2.5 tsp of cinnamon. In a separate large bowl, mix the flour with the baking powder, vanilla extract, milk, 110 g melted butter, 150 g sugar, and the eggs until you have a smooth batter. Then add the apple mixture. Preheat the oven to 160 °C (top/bottom heat). Pour the batter into a greased springform pan and set aside. For the final mixture (you can reuse the first, smaller bowl here), combine the remaining sugar with the remaining cinnamon and the remaining melted butter, then spread it over the batter. The batter can now be placed in the oven for about 40 to 45 minutes (use a toothpick to check if it’s cooked through! Depending on the flour and oven, etc., it may take longer). If desired, cover the finished cake with icing (icing sugar and water/milk/lemon/egg white/etc.) or powdered sugar after it has cooled and then serve.
