Apple Cinnamon Waffles

Ingredients for 8 servings:

  • 200 g margarine
  • 100 g sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 350 g flour
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 pack of pudding powder, vanilla
  • 1 packet of baking powder
  • 1 orange(s)
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 apple
  • 125 ml water
  • 3 tbsp powdered sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Melt the fat. Beat the sugar and eggs until frothy, then slowly add the fat. Grate the orange zest. Combine the flour, salt, pudding powder, baking powder, orange zest, vanilla sugar, and 1 teaspoon of cinnamon and stir in. Peel, core, and coarsely grate the apple. Stir it into the batter along with the water. Bake 8 waffles one after the other in a hot waffle iron and keep warm. Mix the remaining cinnamon with the powdered sugar and sift it over the waffles before eating. Serve with applesauce, whipped cream, or vanilla ice cream, depending on your taste.
