Apple compote with almond sauce

Ingredients for 10 servings:

  • 1 lemon(s)
  • 1 kg apples
  • ½ liter apple juice
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 130 g sugar
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 pack of pudding powder, almond flavor
  • 1 liter of milk
  • 2 tbsp almonds, chopped

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Squeeze the lemon. Peel, core, and slice the apples. Drizzle with lemon juice. Heat the apple juice, 1/2 liter water, cinnamon, vanilla sugar, 100g sugar, and apple pieces. Stir the cornstarch into a little water until smooth. Add to the hot compote and bring to a boil while stirring. For the sauce, stir the custard powder and 30g sugar with 3 tablespoons of milk until smooth. Bring the remaining milk to a boil, add the custard powder, and bring to a boil while stirring. Fold in the chopped almonds. Let cool.
