Apple Crumble

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 large apples (cooking apples)
  • 1 tbsp sugar, brown
  • 2 tbsp syrup (maple syrup)
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 120 g flour
  • ½ bag(s) of baking powder
  • 50 g desiccated coconut
  • 50 g oat flakes
  • 90 g sugar, brown
  • 100 g butter

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Peel the apples, cut them into eighths, and core them. Simmer the apples with the sugar, maple syrup, and lemon juice until soft (about 10 minutes). Blend the remaining ingredients into a crumble. Transfer the apples to a lightly greased dish and cover with the crumble. Bake the apple crumble in the oven at about 180°C for 25-30 minutes. Serve hot with vanilla ice cream. Also delicious: whipped cream or vanilla sauce.
