Ingredients for 8 servings:

  • 100 g cinnamon sugar
  • 150 g butter or margarine
  • 2 eggs
  • 300 g flour
  • 100 g ground almonds
  • 600 g apples
  • 100 ml milk, 2 eggs
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • vanilla sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Cream soft butter or margarine with cinnamon and sugar until fluffy and the sugar dissolves. Gradually add the eggs. Stir in the flour and almonds. Pour the mixture into a springform pan lined with baking paper and form a finger-width rim. Peel, quarter, core, and slice the apples. Cover the dough densely with apple slices. Whisk together the eggs and milk, pour over the apples, and sprinkle with vanilla sugar. Bake in a preheated oven (225°C or 200°C fan-assisted oven) on the lowest rack for 25 minutes.
