Apple dessert to show off

Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 4 apples
  • 5 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • ½ cup(s) breadcrumbs
  • 1 jar white wine
  • Butter, in flakes

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Peel, core, and slice the apples. Grease a baking dish thickly with butter and sprinkle with breadcrumbs. Layer the apples, sprinkled with breadcrumbs, sugar, and cinnamon, and add the wine. Sprinkle with breadcrumbs and sugar and top with butter flakes. Bake at 175°C for about 20-30 minutes, until golden brown. Delicious served hot with vanilla ice cream and/or whipped cream. Grated onion rings or sponge fingers can be used instead of breadcrumbs. Cider or apple juice can also be used instead of the white wine.
