Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g currants
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 250 g cream cheese
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 tsp cinnamon (season carefully)
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Wash the currants and remove the stems. Place them in a bowl and mix with about 1 tablespoon of sugar (more if needed). Cover and let it sit in the refrigerator. In a tall mixing bowl, whisk the honey with the quark, milk, cinnamon, and vanilla sugar (using the whisk attachment of a hand mixer) until fluffy and smooth. Season to taste. Gather four attractive wine glasses or champagne flutes and add the currants and quark cream in several layers. Serve immediately for breakfast or as a dessert!
