Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 2 apples
  • 3 tbsp lemon juice
  • 3 tbsp sugar
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 3 tbsp milk
  • 3 tbsp oil
  • 150 g quark
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 125 g flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

simple quick apple pie

Preheat the oven to 180°C fan/convection oven. Peel and core the apples, and thinly slice them. Drizzle with lemon juice. Whisk together the sugar, salt, milk, oil, egg, and quark. Mix the flour and baking powder, add to the mixture, and knead into a smooth dough. On a baking sheet lined with baking paper, spread a flatbread (approx. 25 x 25 cm in diameter) with a spatula. Cover with the apple slices and bake on the middle rack of the oven for about 15 to 20 minutes. Mix the vanilla sugar and cinnamon together and sprinkle over the hot apple flatbread. Best enjoyed warm.
