Apple pasta casserole

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 180 g pasta
  • 150 g low-fat curd cheese
  • 250 g apples, peeled and pitted
  • ¼ tsp cinnamon
  • 125 ml milk (0.3% fat)
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • Vanilla extract
  • 2 eggs
  • some sweetener if needed

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 45 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 5 minutes

Cook the pasta, drain, and toss with the quark. Place half of the pasta in an ovenproof casserole dish. Thinly slice the apples and arrange them on top, sprinkled with cinnamon. Pour the remaining pasta and quark mixture over the apples. Whisk the milk with the sugar, vanilla, and eggs, adding sweetener if desired. Pour the egg mixture over the pasta. Bake the casserole in a preheated oven at 200°C (top/bottom heat) for about 45 minutes. Serve in the dish.
