Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 150 g butter or margarine
  • 4 eggs
  • 150 g sugar
  • 2 cl Calvados
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 150 g flour
  • 1 pinch of baking powder
  • 500 g apples
  • 1 tbsp powdered sugar
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Melt the butter or margarine and let it cool. In the meantime, beat the eggs, sugar, Calvados, and salt until fluffy. Mix in the cooled fat, baking powder, and sifted flour. Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F). Peel, quarter, and core the apples. Cut them into thin slices and fold 400g of them into the batter. Grease the springform pan and pour in the batter. Arrange the remaining apple slices on top of the batter. Place the cake on the bottom shelf of the preheated oven and bake for 40-50 minutes at 200°C (400°F). Cover after 20 minutes, if necessary. Remove the cake from the oven and carefully remove it from the pan. Place it on a wire rack. Mix the powdered sugar and vanilla sugar together and sprinkle over the cake.
