Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 30 g fresh ginger
  • 1 liter of apple cider
  • 4 star anise
  • 4 tbsp rock sugar, brown, broken

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Something delicious for cold days

Peel the ginger and slice it thinly. Now, in a tall saucepan, gently heat the cider with the star anise, rock candy, and ginger slices. Let it steep over low heat for at least 10 minutes. To serve, strain out the garnishes and enjoy hot. If you prefer, you can substitute apple juice for the cider. This will also be enjoyable for drivers.
