Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 3 apples
  • ¼ liter apple juice, naturally cloudy and unsweetened
  • 1 pinch of cinnamon
  • 250 g yogurt (low-fat yogurt)

Peel the apples and slice them into thin wedges. Meanwhile, bring the apple juice and cinnamon to a boil, then add the apple pieces and sauté until tender. Set the apple mixture aside, cool, and then refrigerate until completely cold. Add the yogurt to the cold apple mixture and blend until smooth. Transfer the mixture to a sealable, freezer-safe bowl and freeze for at least 4 hours. If you want a few more calories, use 3.5% natural yogurt or half low-fat yogurt and half cream. Chopped lemon balm can be used instead of cinnamon for flavor.
