Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 2 kg apples
  • 1 pinch(s) cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp vanilla sugar
  • 1 vanilla pod(s), scraped pulp

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Wash, peel, core, and cut the apples into small pieces. Place them in a saucepan with the vanilla pulp, cinnamon, and vanilla sugar. Bring to a boil over low heat and simmer until the apples break down. Stir every 1-2 minutes to prevent sticking to the bottom of the pan. Remove the pan from the heat and puree the compote. Immediately pour into hot, rinsed jars and seal the jars.
