- 1 packet of vanilla sugar
- 50 g butter (half-fat butter), soft

Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes
light and fruity fresh
Core the apples and cut into small pieces. Place them in a saucepan with the lemon juice and simmer on medium heat for about 10-15 minutes until they have a nice consistency, then let it cool completely (you can of course use ready-made applesauce). To make the quark mixture, beat the sugar and vanilla sugar with the eggs until creamy. Add the softened butter and then gradually add the quark. Carefully fold in the starch or pudding powder together with the applesauce or beat briefly with a hand mixer. Pour the mixture into a well-greased springform pan and bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (top/bottom heat) or 160°C (fan oven) for about 60 minutes. After baking, let the cake rest in the slightly open oven for 30 minutes before removing it. Tastes best warm, but is also delicious cold.
