Applesauce Chocolate Banana Cake

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 400 g flour
  • 8 eggs
  • 270 g sugar
  • 2 packets of vanilla sugar
  • 1 packet of baking powder
  • 1 jar applesauce, 710 g
  • 2 bananas
  • 70 g chocolate
  • 8 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 2 tbsp powdered sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

without butter and milk

Separate the eggs and beat the egg whites with a little water until stiff. Beat the egg yolks with the sugar and vanilla sugar until creamy. Slice the bananas and press them into the mixture. Stir in the applesauce. Mix the flour with the baking powder and cocoa and stir into the batter. Stir in half of the egg whites and then carefully fold in the rest. Break the chocolate into pieces and stir into the batter. Lightly grease a roasting pan and line it with baking paper, or grease a springform pan and spread the batter on it. Bake in a preheated oven at 170°C for approx. 20-25 minutes. Decorate with powdered sugar or chocolate icing to finish.
