Applesauce with cinnamon and orange

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 10 apples, slightly sour, would be ideal
  • 6 tbsp, heaped sugar
  • 1 tbsp, crushed cinnamon powder
  • 1 orange(s), juice

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

Simple, delicious

Wash the apples; you can peel them if you like, but it’s not necessary. Core them, cut them into pieces, and add them to the saucepan. Fill the pan halfway with water. Add sugar, cinnamon, and the juice of one orange. If you add more cinnamon, it will be a little darker. It’s a matter of taste. Simmer everything until the apples are very soft. Then puree with a hand blender, pour into hot, rinsed jars, and seal tightly. Goes well with potato pancakes, pasta, or just as a dessert or as a snack. It’s very, very tasty and the best apple puree I’ve ever made.
