Apricot ketchup

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 500 g apricot(s)
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 3 peppers, mild
  • 200 ml white wine, alternatively apple juice
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • some salt and pepper
  • 1 tbsp sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

for approx. 500 ml, suitable for many grilled dishes

Wash, halve, pit, and dice the apricots. Halve, deseed, and chop the bell peppers. Peel the onion and garlic and chop finely. Heat a little oil in a pot and sauté the onion and garlic for 2-3 minutes. Add the apricots and bell peppers and sauté for another 2 minutes. Deglaze everything with the wine and season with salt, pepper, and sugar. Simmer over medium heat for 15 minutes. Then puree and bring to a boil once. Pour the hot ketchup into clean glass bottles with screw caps. Makes approx. 500 ml. Goes well with poultry, steak, sausages, and is fantastic with grilled wild boar sausages.
