  • 400 g blueberries
  • 250 g blackberries

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

a variation of the original Indian berry sauce

In a medium saucepan, combine blueberries, blackberries, honey, balsamic vinegar, smoked paprika, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Stir well to ensure all ingredients are well blended. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat. Simmer for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the berries burst and the sauce thickens. Once the sauce reaches your desired consistency, remove the pan from the heat and let the sauce cool slightly. Purée in a blender or with an immersion blender until smooth. Note: Wojapi is originally a Native American berry sauce. This fruity BBQ sauce is a variation of this and does not contain tomatoes or ketchup. It pairs perfectly with meat.
