Aromatic aniseed fingers

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 egg(s)
  • 100 ml olive oil
  • 70 g sugar
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • ½ tsp anise, ground
  • 250 g flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tbsp milk

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 18 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 18 minutes

Beat the egg with oil, sugar, and vanilla sugar until thick and foamy. Stir in the anise. Mix the flour with the baking powder. Fold in. Add 1 tablespoon of milk, if desired. Shape the dough into a log and let it rest in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes. Cut the log into 50 slices. Using floured hands, form them into 9-10cm long logs with pointed ends. Place them on a baking sheet, leaving 2cm between each log. Bake at about 150°C for 15-18 minutes until light brown. Stored in a tin, this pastry will keep for about 3 weeks.
