Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 125 g sugar
  • 100 g butter, soft
  • 3 eggs
  • 125 g flour
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 tsp rose water
  • Butter, soft for the molds

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 20 minutes

makes about 25 pieces

Cream the butter and sugar until creamy. Beat in the eggs one at a time. Mix in the flour, salt, and rose water, cover, and let rest in the refrigerator for 1 hour. Lightly butter the madeleine molds and press a thin layer of dough into the molds. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for about 15 minutes until light golden.
