Asian Ribs

The perfect asian ribs recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 1200 g Spare ribs
  • 6 tbsp Soy sauce
  • 10 tbsp Rice wine
  • 6 tbsp Honey
  • 3 tbsp Sambal Oelek
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 2 tsp 5-Gewürze-Pulver
  • Black pepper from the mill
  • 1 Pcs. Freshly grated ginger (approx. 1 cm)
  • 3 Garlic cloves chopped
  • 1 tbsp Sesame oil
  • 1 tsp Toasted sesame oil
  1. Cut the ribs into individual ribs. Mix a marinade from all the ingredients.
  2. Put individual ribs in plastic bags and pour the marinade over them. Close tightly and leave to marinate in the refrigerator overnight. Keep moving the bag so that the marinade is evenly distributed.
  3. The next day, preheat the oven to 240 °.
  4. Remove the ribs from the marinade (do not pat them dry) and place them with the bone side on the oven shelf. Place the gridiron on the baking sheet and put both together on the middle shelf in the oven. Switch the heat down to 220 ° after approx. 20 minutes. Total roasting time 35 – 40 minutes, then they should have taken on a good color and be done.
