Asparagus, easy and quick

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 500 g asparagus, white
  • some butter and oil
  • Herbs as desired
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch, heaped
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Peel the asparagus and cut into bite-sized pieces. Briefly fry in butter and oil in a pan, season with salt, add a little water (approx. 50-100 ml), and let it cook. Once the asparagus is cooked, stir in the starch dissolved in a glass of water to create a thick sauce. Bring to a boil briefly. Season with salt and pepper and stir in freshly chopped herbs, if desired. Serve with rice.
