  • 1 kg asparagus, white
  • 2 small shallots
  • 1 piece(s) butter
  • Sugar
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 dashes lemon juice

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

It is especially good because it is cooked in its own juices.

Peel the asparagus and trim off the woody ends. Cut the asparagus diagonally into 2-3 cm long pieces. Heat a wok with a lid and melt the butter in it. Dice the shallots and add them to the wok. Add the sugar and sauté the shallots until translucent. Add the asparagus pieces and stir for about 2-3 minutes. Add a little salt, pepper, and lemon juice and mix. Place the lid on the wok and sauté the asparagus until tender but still firm to the bite. Do not add any liquid. The asparagus will cook in its own juices. Stir occasionally. Serve with pork medallions, boiled potatoes, and lettuce.
