Ingredients for 2 servings:
- 1 tbsp oil, neutral in taste
- 500 g asparagus, white
- 1 garlic clove(s)
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 cup vegetable broth
- 125 g instant noodles (stir-fry noodles)
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp oil (sesame oil), dark
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds
Instructions
Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes
Roast the sesame seeds without fat until fragrant. Set aside. Peel the asparagus and cut crosswise into approximately 0.5 cm thick slices, leaving the heads intact. Peel the garlic and thinly slice. Heat oil in a wok or wide frying pan and fry the asparagus, stirring occasionally, until golden brown. Add the garlic and fry. Sprinkle with sugar and let it caramelize. Deglaze with stock, add the wok noodles, and cook over medium heat, stirring constantly (follow the manufacturer’s instructions!). Season with soy sauce and sesame oil and serve sprinkled with sesame seeds. Enough for 2 servings as a side dish or 1 main course.
