Asparagus Is Twofold
The perfect asparagus is twofold recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 2 kg Asparagus fresh, white
- 500 g Asparagus green fresh
- 8 disc Smoked ham
- Butter
- 1 Pc. Sweetener pearl
- Salt
White asparagus in foil / roasting tube
- Peel the white asparagus greenish with a peeler and cut off the dry ends. Spread out two long pieces of grill foil / aluminum foil and place the asparagus on top, season with plenty of salt and add 5 tablespoons of water. Add the sweetener pearl and butter depending on your taste (I use 2 teaspoons). Close the foil well and wrap two more layers of foil around it. Turn on the grill or let simmer in the oven for 20-30 minutes. The preparation in the roasting tube is the same.
Green asparagus wrapped in ham
- Cut off the lower ends and peel the lower third with the peeler, blanch the asparagus for 2-3 minutes in boiling salted water and then rinse immediately with cold. Wrap the asparagus with the ham and grill on the grill (with the lower open side) until crispy. There is of course an alternative in the frying pan.
- Before I prepare meat, fish etc. I simply leave the asparagus in the foil, which I then cut open directly at the table.
