Asparagus with Serrano ham and fresh Parmesan

Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 1,500 g asparagus, fresh
  • 300 g Serrano ham (thinly sliced)
  • 200 g Parmesan, fresh in a piece
  • 125 g butter
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Peel the asparagus and cook in salted water with the sugar for about 15 minutes. Divide the ham between three plates. Melt the butter. Drain the asparagus well and arrange it on top of the ham. Baste with the butter. Finally, sprinkle with freshly grated Parmesan cheese. Serve with baguette. This dish also makes a great appetizer (it serves about 6 people).
