Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 500 g flour
  • 250 g butter
  • 250 g lard
  • 250 ml whipped cream
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • Powdered sugar for icing

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 12 hours; Total time approx. 12 hours 30 minutes

Farmer’s puff pastry, makes about 30 cookies

Knead together the flour, butter, and lard. Add the cream and mix thoroughly. Wrap in cling film and refrigerate overnight. The next morning, roll out the dough, cut out round cookies, and bake at approximately 180 degrees Celsius (350 degrees Fahrenheit) for 20 minutes. Cover the cookies with icing while they’re still warm. The cookies aren’t very sweet overall, but you can make them more or less sweet depending on the amount of icing.
