Combine water, salt, and raisins in a moderately wide saucepan and bring to a boil. Then, while stirring, add the oats and reduce the heat. The mixture should simmer gently. Stir well to prevent sticking. After about 5 minutes, when the mixture begins to thicken, stir in the chopped banana. Transfer the mixture to a deep plate, sprinkle with brown sugar, add the almonds, and pour over the desired amount of milk.
