Autumnal apple and quark cake

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 125 g butter or margarine
  • 3 eggs
  • 230 g flour
  • 2 packets of vanilla sugar
  • 1 packet of vanilla pudding powder
  • 150 g sugar
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • 500 g quark
  • 2 large apples

Instructions

Working time approx. 40 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 45 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 25 minutes

with shortcrust pastry

Knead the butter/margarine, egg, flour, vanilla sugar, 75g sugar, and baking powder into a shortcrust pastry and spread it into a 26cm springform pan with a small rim (approx. 1cm high). Mix the quark, 75g sugar, pudding powder, and 2 eggs into a dough and pour it into the base. Peel the apples and arrange them in slices in a ring shape over the dough, pressing them in gently. Bake the cake at 180°C (top/bottom heat) for about 45 minutes.
