Bacon Bread
The perfect bacon bread recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 1 piece Diced onion
- 125 g Bacon cubes
- 400 g Sifted flour
- 1 packet Baking powder
- 100 ml Milk
- 100 ml Water
- 100 g Grated Emmental
- 1 tablespoon Cream fine 7% or cream)
- 1 tablespoon Dried chives or 2 tablespoons. fresh)
- 1 teaspoon Tomato paste
- 1 piece Egg
- Salt, pepper, oil for frying
- Fry the diced onion in a little oil and tomato paste until translucent, add the chives and roast a little, set aside.
- Mix the flour with baking powder, mix 4/5 of the bacon cubes, 4/5 of the cheese, onions, egg, milk and water into a dough and form a loaf.
- Brush with Cremefine (or cream) and spread the rest of the bacon and cheese on top.
- Bake the bread on the middle rack in the preheated oven to 200 degrees for approx. 50 minutes. A hearty soup or just a salad tastes good with it. ————Enjoy your meal—————
