  • 5 small bay leaves
  • 1 tsp caraway seeds
  • 1 tsp sea salt
  • 3 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 45 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 5 minutes

in the roasting bag

Preheat the oven to 180°C (fan oven). Wash and peel the potatoes, and place them in a bowl. Cut the bacon into wide strips and add it to the potatoes. Add the bay leaves, caraway seeds, sea salt, and oil to the bowl. Sprinkle generously with pepper and mix well. Place the potato mixture in a roasting bag, seal tightly, and cook in the preheated oven for 45 minutes. This also works well in a Roman pot: Then fill the pot with plenty of water, pour in the potato mixture, and cook for 45-50 minutes at 200°C (top/bottom heat).
